Good HB choice for my necks

OK, thanks for everyone who answered my last post re: SSL-1 VS SSL-3.

I'm pretty sure this is my choice:
Neck: APS-1 Alnico II
Mid: SSL-1

I haven't quite decided what is going to go where, but I really like the tones of the APS-1's.

Now, I'm looking for a good complimentary humbucker for my bridge. I was thinking of the Custom or the Custom/Custom or the Pearly Gates. I need something that can kick some butt but not get too ridiculously metal. Really, something that can serve a lot of differing rock styles, but can also tone down and get that 'Toad the Wet Sprocket' type of light distortion.

Any thoughts muchly appreciated.

I think something like a 59 bridge or even a seth bridge would go lovely with them.
