Take the strings off the guitar and immerse them in regular gasoline to loosen any corrosion. Dry them off and immerse them in coca cola to bring back a high lustre then rinse in demineralized water and allow to dry.
While the strings are drying, put on a new set.
Once they are on, throw the old ones away.
