Good Karma Thread

Re: Good Karma Thread

GAS-a-holic is a rad dude for sending me cool new old pickups for my kid's guitar.

I've got a complete white single ply affinity strat pickguard w/pickups, switch, knobs, etc. It is the same size as a USA strat guard, for comparison, I think the holes are even correct, but the Allparts replacement holes weren't in the same spots, so I'm not 100% positive.

Glad they reached you bro - might as well get the youngster started off right!

Re: Good Karma Thread

LoFi2100, you need to clean out your PM's. Send me your info and the guard is yours. It will be a few days before I can ship it, I'm going right from work to football practice and won't have time to hit the PO 'till the weekend.

I have a bunch of electronic components to give away. This stuff is new / unused and suitable for pedal mods, amp repair etc.

You can have as much or as little as you need, but please don't as me to ship a single .03 cent resistor.
(Also, please don't ask me to ship more than you need in an attempt to hide the fact that you really just want that .03 cent resistor :fingersx:).

Remember, if you take things that you won't use then you've deprived your fellow forumite. Karma is watching.

Large Orange drop caps:
.01uF 600v 5% (x3)
.022uF 600v 5%
.047uF 600v 5%
0.1uF 600v 5%
0.22uF 600v 5% (x3)

Zicon radial metal / polyester film cap:
4.7uF 250v

Metal polyester radial boxed caps:
.01uF 100v 5% (x2) claimed
.047uF 250v 5% (x7)
0.1uF 100v 5%
1.0uF 250v 5% (x5)

Monolithic ceramic caps:
47pF 200v 5% (x5)
220pF 100v 5% (x7)
390pF 100v 5% (x10)
.001mF 100v 5% (3)
.022mF 100v 10% (x5) claimed

Bunch of resistors (mostly carbon 2%)
Various semi-conductors and other sh!t

Carvin copper foil shielding kit claimed

Carvin linear volume pot (x2) claimed

...and for those of you still reading:
Fulltone 3PDT stomp-switch ( useful for true-bypass wiring) claimed
Red Fasel inductor (think Wah upgrade)

May I claim the Red Fasel Inductor, and (if this isn't too much) all the Monolithic ceramic caps and all of the large orange drop caps? I'm currently working on two pedal builds right now (possibly a third soon), and all of those materials would really help me out. If you would rather I only claim a portion of my request, I can go down the lists pick and choose what I absolutely need the most.

For good karma, I have two spare spools of 30 gauge AWG (I think it was 30, it is very small nonetheless) solid-core wire. They have a thin rubber insulation that you can strip with just your teeth very easily.

Re: Good Karma Thread

If anyone has any unwanted Telecaster pickups, I could take them off your hands! Be it stock MIM or stock Squier pickups that got ripped out or anything else. I only ask that they work and are single coils.

Thanks!

I have a nice big spool of Radioshack 2-lead shielded wire I don't use much. Here is a pic from Google images that shows what it is like:

Just say how much length you want/need.

Re: Good Karma Thread

I need a white Strat pickup cover. Bought an SSL-1 off eBay, but the cover is cracked in two places. I'd like one that isn't cracked, though it doesn't have to be brand shiny new either.

Re: Good Karma Thread

Recently did a nice deal with guitarglynn selling him some bass parts, he's a very cool, straight up guy and need the parts for a great reason. Will happily do more with him in the future.

Also long overdue good feedback for Andrew Lamprecht, bought a pedal from him and we had a obstacles to overcome (mostly, if not entirely my fault), but in the end the deal was great and I dig the pedal.

Re: Good Karma Thread

Anyone have a black floyd rose string retainer (the bar thingy on the headstock the strings run under)? I need two of them.

Anyone wanna swap a set of black six inline Grover mini's for a set of chromes?

Re: Good Karma Thread

I need a standard length 1meg push pull pot and a 3 way toggle. I have an alpha 500k push pull and 3 cheapo single coils I can trade or get rid of for karma.

Re: Good Karma Thread

Please read this whole thing before your eyes bug out, lol. Free Yamaha W7 synthesizer/workstation. If you are not familiar with this synth, it was a very high end synth in the mid 90s that was known for its top of the line sounds, but also for a faulty disk drive, buttons that got wonky, and a display that crapped out over time. I had it since it was new, and I installed a brand new factory disk drive that Yamaha generously sent me and it never gave me a problem after that. It was working fine until the display finally died a few weeks ago. I ordered a backlight from eBay and two weeks ago, tried my hand at installing it. When I got done putting the synth back together (you literally have to take the whole thing apart, including the keyboard to get to the display), not only did the display not work, but nothing else did save for the Church Organ patch. Now, this is an AWESOME sounding patch, but unless you are going to use it for church, or you're going to play Mr. Crowley all night, the synth is very limited.

Again, when I took it apart it worked perfectly. If you are good with electronics, you may be able to fix whatever I did and you will have a very powerful workstation. For my troubles with the bad disk drive, Yamaha also gave me an extension board with extra piano patches. This is installed in the synth. I won't ship it unless you pay the shipping, and this synth weighs about thirty pounds. I have the original manual, technical manual, and demonstration disk. I know the interest in this will probably be very low, if any, but before it just sits in the corner gathering dust, I figured I'd offer it up here first because you guys have all been VERY good to me since I joined this forum. Shoot me a PM and give me a few days to get back to you as I only get on the internet every couple of days. Hope somebody can fix'er up. Sound examples are in my songs such as Synthetic Head/Keep on Dreamin (it sucks, but you hear the synth, lol), 2X Unlucky, and Rain
