Hello All, I Am Upgrading My Jackson RR Stock PUPS & Went With A Dimebucker For The Bridge, Whats A Better Match For The Neck The SH-1 59, SH-2 Jazz Or JB SH-4 Or Is That To Hot With The Dimebucker, Any Advice Would Be Greatly Appreciated

Thanks In Advance

Well, the official pairing with the Dimebucker is the SH-1B (bridge '59), but even that, I feel is slightly underpowered.

I wouldn't say the JB would be too hot for the Dimebucker. You can always just drop the neck pickup down, but I don't think the EQ profile would work well. The JB in the neck is REALLY dark, and the Dimebucker is REALLY bright.

I had one with an SH-6N (Distortion Neck) for a while, and thought it worked well. So that's my recommendation.

If you absolutely must go for a low output neck pickup, I suggest you look at the bridge versions rather than the neck. Like an SH-2B or an SH-1B.

The Mark Holcomb neck pickup might work well too.

What are you trying to DO with the neck in terms of matching?
- Power output?
- Same EQ curve but calibrated?
- Something for cleans?

I have a DIme/Jazz pairing in my Iceman that sounds great and gives me a lot of versatility. It is killer in the middle position especially out of phase. Both pickups sound incredibly great split.

The 59 Bridge in the neck of my 2000 US Dime 3 ST Washburn sounded fantastic with the Lawrence 500 XL. Haven't run one with a Dimbebucker though. My guitar was bought by a local dealer off the 2000 NAMM floor and was SN 002 so is the real deal for Dimes exact set up.
Also might want to look hard at a Sentient neck. The Sentient is by far my favorite Duncan neck pickup to pair with a high gain bridge. Have one in my 93 solid KOA Carvin DC 127 with a Alt 8 in the bridge.

If you ever decide you do not need that Khaler, call me.

That's an effing epic photo too.
