I would like to buy a good microphone to record from my tube amp. Are there any recomendations? Shure, Berhinger...?

Thanks!

Re: Good micorphone for recording?

In my opinion, one of the best mics with which to record a guitar amp is a Shure SM 57. They're the industry standard for that purpose.

Price range would help.

I usually use a sm57, along with either a Neumann U87 or a Audio-Technica 4050.

I use an Aiwa mic that I got for like $9.99 at Target. A boom box with a built in mic and cassette recorder is also good, but they don't make those anymore. :13:

But if you want quality, a shure sm-57 is supposed to be the one. They are about $99. Then you need a mic stand too, with a boom. That should be about $19 to $24.

I like sennheiser e609's better the sure 57's. You also don't need a mic stand for them since they pick up from the side so you just drape them down infront of your cab/combo.

there $99 as well

Yes you are right... I was thinking in spending 100$-150$ (more or less the sme in Euros). The sm57 points out like a good option.
