I would like to know what a good pickup for neck position would be. Im getting a new guitar soon and considering the majority of my playing is with the neck pickup, I will only be replacing the neck pickup.

the guitar im getting is the HLS hardtail at www.hammguitars.com :D

I've got a Showmaster FAT HH (flame ash top, basswood body, rosewood fretboard) and I love the '59 neck. It's very beautiful, very round and warm.

I was thinking more of the JB, but ill look into that 59 thanks! I play mainly rock/blues type music at my church youth group and on Sunday morning services.

just curious, in your signature:

I play at church too! :D Although most our stuff I use my Strat for, and quite well, especially with Hillsong stuff. If you play at church, get something very versatile, like '59/JB or Jazz/JB, or '59/Custom. What amp do you play through? What effects?

For the longest time I played a cheap ESP LTD EC-100QM with the Jazz/JB and it sounded great, especially with the split abilities wired in. I almost regret selling it. Now I play with my Lite Ash (3 x Alnico II Pro Staggered) and I love it, but soon my Showmaster (hopefully) with '59/PG+ will get back into working :(

And yes, I fear God.

I play my guitars through a Marshall dsl50 tube head through a 1960a cab. I also use a visualsound (Christian company) jekyll and hyde overdrive as a boost.

I have been doing a LOT of hillsong stuff for the last year or so too.
I have been doing quite a bit of Jeremy Camp with my band also recently. I would suggest you check him out as he has some amazing worship songs. http://jeremycamp.com/home.html
if you go to "tunes" you can listen to clips. my favorite CDs are "restored" and "carried me." By the way, the song "My Desire" on the "Restored" album, my band will most likely be doing this Wednesday for our chapel at school.

Anyway, for guitars I too have been using my strat primarily at church. I will be getting the aforementioned guitar (hamm hls1) though soon, so that is why I am asking about the humbuckers.

I think your suggestion for the JB/Jazz combination I will go for. I think that will be very suitable for me and give me a lot of versatility. Thank you very much! God bless!
