Good price for a used 1987x?

I'm looking at some used marshall 1987x 50w plexi reissues -- what would be a good price range for these? I'm looking at both the older ones -- around 1993 -- and the newer most recent reissues.

I don't keep up with prices so I can't be of much help. Why are you only considering circa 93's and recent ones though?

If you search enough you can occasionally see them in the 750.00-900.00 range. Not as easily done these days, but still possible.

I'm not intentionally only considering certain years, it's just that the older ones tend to go for a lot more than I can justify spending. But I'm open to all years. There seems to be 3 categories, price-wise: the real, vintage, non-reissue amps, that go for a premium price (I've seen (drooled over) 3k to 7.5k); the initial reissue amps, without effects loops, and the newest run of reissues with effects loops.

What would be a good price for an '88 1987S amp in decent condition? Seems like those would go for a lot more, since the production was limited. I didn't even know about this model until I saw a used one.

I'm not sure of any significant circuit changes between the various models/years, but I'm sure there are minor differences.

I thought I had read a thread here somewhere where you had gotten a 1987S model... if so, how do you like it, and are you still liking it? Any disadvantages to the "S" model?
