Good reading material about pickups.

So, I'm not good with some things. Reading comprehension being one of them. Another is remembering things. Put the two together and you get me. Are there any recommended books about pickups and windings a magnets that would be recommended? I want to start taking apart pickups and learning more about them and maybe making my own winder/counter. That's a big maybe. But I don't read so well at the computer or on a smart phone. So books are generally the best way for me to get information. Are there any recommendations?

this book is also worth while http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Books,_plans/Electronics/Pickups,_Windings_and_Magnets.html Has more history and is less specific to building but has tons of good info

I'm not sure if he wrote a book but Bill Lawrence has a ton of info about the science behind pickups.

The Lollar book is mostly about building a winder, not much about actual winding and design, etc.

Thanks guys. There are only two that come up most often with a google search. One by Dave Hunter, who is a great guy, and the other is by Mario Milan. I've never heard of him before but Stew-Mac carries it and it may have more information than the Hunter book. Anyone read either of them?
