Goodbye Express 5:50 Plus, Hello Lonestar Classic!

Been playing a Lone Star 2x12 in Blue Tolex locally and loved it so much that I couldn’t resist an opportunity to pick one up at a very good price. Fortunately I had my 5:50 Plus up for sale and it sold 30 minutes after I purchased the Lonestar! Perfect timing.

Thanks! Classic yes. Really like both clean and the drive channel. Struggled with 5:50 Plus for months and never was really happy with the sounds I was getting out of it which lead me to decide to sell it. Exact opposite with the Lonestar; immediately loved the cleans and the overdrive and felt like I was in the tonal palette that I couldn’t find with the 5:50 Plus. A very musical/tonally pleasing amp.

Congrats! I've never been a Mesa guy... but the Lonestar has been on my radar for years and would be the Mesa that gets me to join the club. I've currently got a Tone King Metropolitan and Friedman Buxom Betty, so I've got holy grail cleans covered... and yet I still jones to try a Lonestar.

Ahhhh yes! The Mesa to out-Fender Fender!!!!

I prefer the mesa to out-Marshall Marshall.

Would love one of each! Please tell me there is a bad@$$ USA Strat going into that?
