Has anybody ever tried a fret and finger board cleaning product called Gorgomyte? I ordered some and it came today I was gone wait to use it on my guitar but some one gave me a guitar to set up so Ill use that one as the test subject. For anybody that uses this product feed back would be appreciated. From the reviews and vids Ive seen of people using the stuff I have not seen not one bad complaint.

I like it for frets a lot when you're "in the field" and not at the shop. But I only consider it a fret polish and do NOT get it on the fretboard. I don't care what they say, it blackens from the frets then that junk goes on the board. No thanks.

That's exactly my experience- after using it I always clean the fretboard off with some Dunlop fretboard cleaner- and I would never use it on an oiled/unfinished Maple fretboard again.

However, it's fine for rosewood or ebony boards. During a PRS guitar clinic I met Len Johnson, head of the PRS Tech Center, who suggested Gorgomyte between string changes. He told me when Gibson guitars was flooded in Nashville a few years back, Gibson sent him alot of the guitars that could be repaired, and Gorgomyte did wonders on the frets on many of the guitars that could be salvaged. Since he suggested it, I use it.
