Got $400 burning a hole in your pocket?

Re: Got $400 burning a hole in your pocket?

Man, that is sick!! I dont know what's worse. The fact that he's selling them so high, or the fact that he tore them out of an obviously pricesless Tele!!!

I always do a double-take anytime I see vintage parts for sale. Of course, the only person willing to pay those prices would be a collector with a $8,000 guitar that WOULD be $15,000 if it were all original, but JEEZ.

Did you happen to see the guy selling 3 65 strat pickup covers for $2500!!!!?????

I just know I'd mess up and fry those pots if I bought them. :laugh2:

You know unfortunately when the guitars are so valuable all the parts that go into or on go up accordingly. It's a drag but if you want a period correct restoration you are going to pay.

$2000 would buy a SWEET guitar!! But no, I'd rather have a pup selector ring!!!

Re: Got $400 burning a hole in your pocket?

I wonder if the guy who he "took" the pots from even knows he's selling them? I remember when a friend took an old classic car in for a tune-up and when he picked it up the guy had put a new steering wheel on for free. The repair guy said, the old one didn't look good. My friend had him put the original back on. The repair guy probably had someone ready to pay big bucks for the original. What a shyster.
