Got bored the other day, modded my DOD 308.

Yeah got a pedal from Alex, so yesterday I looked at it, then decided to do some mods to it, first I played around with the inputfiltering, then the "tonecap" and the diodes, changed the later to my two last germanium ones(gotta get some more).
Changed another cap for more fatness and more omph to it, not too much as I like the 70's tone more than modern smooth stuff.
Wanted to make an oldschool low to middle dirty pedal out of it!
Takes well to different pickup types, and is nice and dynamic, reacts well to ones playing
No fooking fury, but sweet and oldschool....

Really like the sweet bite it has now, it was rather thin, more harsh and unpleasent before, now it has nice loose bottom and sweet highs instead, hope to do a better recording.

That's the Yngwie pedal right?....the $29 one? If so was it at least usable stock or did it totally suck?

Heh yeah...I am finetuning my Maxon od-9 right now....fiddling with the tone shaping caps....going really wide and then slowly narrowing it down to the sweet spot.

Good job Rid. I'm impressed with this mod! Doesn't sound much like a DOD308...sounds more like a mid gain BB Preamp.

It reminds me of the 'ole Clay Jones/Black Market FX stuff I used to really dig. Smooth and fat, but still a little ballsy at the same time. Great playing as usual
