It is a little looser with the EL34, the crunch is different, but I can't make up my mind as to what I like better... So I just keep em...:headbang:

A cranked amp just sounds better. I just don't buy the sttenuators suck thing at all, I have used my amps both with and w/o, unless you are thrying to coax 1 watt out of a 100, you will get good sounds. I even record with the Mass now, and have for several songs. I have better control of the sound in a small space. Gets way too squirly w/o it.
