Got my Axis today!

Re: Got my Axis today!

The pick doesn't seem to work. I've always been curious about those guitars. I've played a few briefly, and the neck seems really comfortable in the hand. I always felt like the fretboard wasn't wide enough, but that may just be a poor perception on my part.

I do know that they are well built instruments. Enjoy and I can't wait to see a pic.

Re: Got my Axis today!

It should work now. I love the neck! The neck is a bit skinny for the first couple of frets, but I think the radius makes up for it, at least for me. The neck joint is also great, it's a bolt-on that feels like a set neck. Who ever had this be fore me hardly ever played it. There are two scratches along the back, but no rash. No marks at all on the front of the guitar, no signs of wear on the frets. The plastic is still on the cavity cover. These P-90s are renewing my interest in single-coils, as everyone said they would. Great chime in the bridge, warm glass from the neck. They handle high gain exellently. It's got a battery powered noise reduction pot inside that completely kills an hum. I removed the battery to check the drain on tone it had and I could not tell a difference, minus the hum.

Re: Got my Axis today!

Cool shade of purple. I also really like the flame on the neck...seems like they have all had nice flamed necks from what I remember. What brand of P 90-s are in that? Looks cool as is, but a set of cream P 90's would be stunning (do they make them in cream?)

Congrats on the new guitar and enjoy!

BB...Looks killer bro, I'm glad you like it! I would agree...the purple would take some getting used to...but, like I said when you first thought about it...you can't go wrong with P-90 in ANY guitar!
