got my bareknuckle pickups and lee jackson

hey wassup guys..
i wanted to ask if u guys had any experience with lee jackson products or more specifically, the ampeg vl 1002 which he desinged. that is the amp i purchased and i look forward to plaiyng it since i dont have the cabs yet. i also instaled my bareknuckle warpig adn emerald and i am loving em.

how are those bareknuckles?

ive played thru a few ampegs but only done one gig with one and it sounded really good. i found the eq sounded best in the middle of the range, extreme settings made the amp more noisy

i really liek the pickups. i had a duncan desinged hb 102 set before adn i like the new set so much better. first of all, the new ones are more transparent meaning i could actually notice the changes dramatically wen i change the modes on my keeley metal zone. also surprising, the warpiig is nowhere near as high output i htough itd be. the jb had more distortion but the warpig had much better clarity and much meatier. i also like how the midrange sounds on it... really smooth. the emerald on the other hand, is great sound also.i really like the cleans on BOTH. the warpig doesnt distort when you roll the volume off and i really like the cleans on both. the neck tone is really fat and also has a unique sound ot it, sorry i dont know much at how to evaluate tone but those were the things i noticed at the change.

you said the warpig doesnt distort when you turn the volume down. did the old pup? in general turning the volume down should clean up the sound

yea the old pup distorted even to the lowest volume setting

I'm currently looking into a set of Bareknuckle pickups for my new Gordon Smith Les Paul. I've not read many reviews of the pickups, so to hear that you like them is a good thing :)

I'm guessing the Warpig is the one with the rusty nickle cover and allen screws? that looks like one evil pu
