I'm a big fan of the C5, it's a great pup for that AC/DC sound.
Not for all guitars but I'm in no rush to swap it out of my explorer just yet, I'd be more tempted to swap the mag for an A8 which does give it a bit more mid range warmth without losing the clarity.
Great all round rock pup.

The description "scooped" always plagues that pickup and gives people the wrong idea. I wish the parrots would shut up for once. LOL

The C5 is one of the best sounding pickups in the Duncan line.

I've got my C5 after reading that it was "PAF in 'roids", and it was love at first installation. LOL!

Afterwards I've started to notice that a lot of people were talking 'bout the "mid scoop" thing, and I've always wondered what p'up were they hearing to make those comments, certainly not the C5, as I couldn't hear that at all.

I think you're right 'bout the "parrots". :cool2:
