I installed the 59/custom hybrid that BachToRock made for me this evening and all I can say is that it is WOW!
I've used lots of humbuckers over the years including 59's, JB's, an original PAF, and later model Gibson buckers and none of them have the tone that this one does.
I only got to play it for about an hour and fell in love with the tone. Peter (BachToRock) told me about this pup being very rich harmonically without the mushiness of a high gain bucker. The low end is lush, the high end is creamy sounding with enough mids to keep the PAF vibe going. The clean tone is nice and fat and the dirty tone is very VH sounding (articulate with good sustain). Pinch harmonics are way easy to get and very musical sounding with this bad boy.
If you are looking for a bucker that has a little more guts than a PAF and still retains the clarity, check out one of these hybrids, mine is a keeper. :fingersx:
