Woke up to the Fed Ex guy knocking at my door. I think at long last I have found the guitar for me in a Gibson SG (thanks jlpineda). It's my first mahogany 24.75" scale. I'm totally diggin' it. I've always have 25.5" scale gutiars so it took a few minutes to adjust. It is the one pickup SG-X, 500T with a coil split mini switch, Ebony color. I plan on my first attempt at a refinish with this guitar, add a pickguard, MOP headstock overlay, change the pots (sounds like they might be 300K), and maybe locking tuners. I switch out the "top hat" knobs for some metal knurled ones already. The neck not as bulky as I remembered (it's been a while since I've accually played one), and the slim body fits me like a glove. The 500T sounds killer though my DS-1, kind of muddy when clean. I guess that's why they put in the coil split. Well, I'm gonna go play.
