Pickups changed to a DiMarzio Virtual P-90 in the neck, and a Seymour Duncan JB (AlNiCo 2 magnet) in the bridge. Also got the nut filed and a setup done. Great playing and better sounding now.

Nice. Those guitars are incredible value.

Doesn’t it come standard with a duncan P90 in the neck?

Wow, that looks like it is on fire!

Yes it does come with a Duncan P90 and a chrome covered Custom 5 trembucker stock. Both those are up for sale now. It's a fantastic guitar.

Pacifica's are sweet. Most Yamaha's, for that matter. I think they're an underrated guitar. At least, they don't get the recognition they deserve.

Pacificas are fantastic guitars! I loved my 2 604Ws.

Re: Got my Yamaha Pacifica 611VFM back today

The neck profile on this guitar is much beefier than my other Pacificas. It plays fantastic tho and feels great. Extremely well built IMO.

Wish they had a 12" radius but have considered buying the hardtail version more than once. Nice.

Re: Got my Yamaha Pacifica 611VFM back today

I personally like the flatter radius, but there's not a lot of difference between a 12" radius and the 13.75" radius on these.

No, it's not a huge difference but for someone who owns all 12" radius guitars (except for 1) I can feel it when I pick up the one guitar that I have with a 14". That said, I've played one a while back at a local shop. It was a really nice guitar. It's not the 13.75 radius that would stop me from buying one.

In my case it would be my wife that would stop me from buying it [emoji23]

LOL!!! Thankfully my wife stays pretty understandable, although I have heard about it from time to time when I buy a new (used) guitar. Right now I've got around 40 of them.

40!?! That's amazing :) If you can't play them all, you know you can count on your forums brothers :)

Enjoy!

Almost every one of them was used. Buy decent guitars on the cheap and replace pickups/electronics and make them into much better guitars. I normally buy all my pickups used also.

I do the same thing. Only recently have I started "upgrading" to some nicer new stuff. (But I still change the pups and electronics.)

I have changed out a few other things on a couple. Replace cheap saddles with better ones, add bigger trem blocks, a couple sets of locking tuners, etc...
