Yeah, so after all the input from many of you guys, I got myself a Hot Rails Neck pup for my Strat and all I can say is WOW. I'm totally satisfied. This is exactly the kind of sound I want of a neck pickup. Smooth (especially on the unwound strings) but still cutting, defined and not icepicky in any way. As some of you said, it can get a bit muddy when playing high gain chords, but in a sweet way I think I could have use for... although I want to use it for soloing in the first place which it does perfectly.
I can easily say this is the best neck pup I ever heard in my whole 17 year lasting life!! I instantly liked it after I first plugged in with it. No amp tweaking necessary (which is a BIG plus imo), ready to rock. I think I was solo wanking for about half an hour now cause it was really inspiring...
I got it in exchange for a C5 which I got on Friday when I actually wanted a DC but they didn't have em in stock, so I decided I'll give it a try... didn't like it though... it was just too scooped in the mids... even more than the '59 it should have replaced. Thanks to the 21 day return policy, I got the HR instead of it and I think it's cool now... but I still have to wait until they get a Custom for my bridge...
