I better get some good thick gooop to cover up my own mods :D

Thanks for the links guys.

Kevin, your are definitely the authority on this amp. You get some killer tones on your original tunes. I will surely hit you up for info.

Wattage - if you mod your Orange, be sure to use some orange goop :D

Jolly you are right about the earplugs.. but I cheat and use my attenuator :D

Actually I just do what the authorities tell me too:6: One of the most dramatic improvements came this week, I changed the 50 uf filter cans to 32 uf. It was an amazing change and one I wish I had not waited so long to do. It made the amp sound old!!

Warren that amp is beautiful! I'll bet that it sounds great.

Kev, a make-it-sound-old mod sounds good to me.
I remember that Geraldo fiasco.. funny stuff.

Now I am going to take my 2204 to a local Marshall tech and have it totally gone through, just to make sure that all of the existing components are doing their job.

Those amps are fat as a butcher's dog. What's amazing is how loud those 50 watters are! Probably the best sounding amp for the most reasonable price out there. Does yours have the FX loop, or is it the original one without the loop?
Make sure you bridge the channels with a jumper cord.
The Jimi strat tones are luscious through that thing, especially with a 4-12 cab.
