Sold the ht-5. I'm sure i'll miss it, but whatever. There's usually 1 or 2 for sale on CL.

Re: Got some killer head today.

Nice! I was thinking about getting one of these, but I didn't, for several reasons:

couldn't find any demos/reviews of it, seeing as it's so new
couldn't find any Canadian dealers who had it in stock so I could try it

That said, I really wish it had a power-scaling feature. If it did, I probably would've waited a while longer for someone to get it in stock. Ah well.

The non scaling is my only qualm, but eh, I'll live. sounds good still at conversation level. I too was skeptical as there are zero clips on internet even as of this moment. This little bastid gets super loud. Gonna check it out more later, only had 5 minutes on it so far.

Re: Got some killer head today.

What kind of texture does the gain sound have? Is it crunchy, tight, and aggressive? Or is it more a Master of Puppets thing, like smoother and maybe a bit more scooped?

I would say more so the former, just a really nice sounding little amp. The boost switch really sounds good. I've never owned an amp where I felt I didn't really need an OD to tighten things, but I feel that way about this head. Gonna rock it on Sunday paired with the Mark IV.

Cool! I might pick one up. At $500, I'm not to worried about getting one and returning it if it's not what I'm looking for.
