Bridge pickup wound by MJ would be my guess.

All I can say is, it's niiiiiiice! I used a Full Shred in my 83' LP Studio from 92'-98' when I sold the guitar. It's like revisiting an old friend. Feels familiar and we pick up right where we left off.

Re: Got this in the mail today.

a few years ago, I had access to one of the Full Shred prototypes. I have the DCR readings for it around somewhere, but don't hold your breath on me tracking them down any time soon.

here are a few of the shots:

Re: Got this in the mail today.

It's sounds tighter on the lows and with more djenty attack than the newer Full Shreds. My other FS had a kind of spongy low end to it. The mids and highs are still softened quite a bit and with a slight fuzzy character which feels great.

Can you peek in and see if the magnet is polished or rough?

Re: Got this in the mail today.

Fwiw, I'm the seller, and it measured 14.4 when I metered it just before boxing it up. I didn't peek at the magnet, though, and can't comment how it sounds compared to other FShreds, since it was my first.
