Grabbed a DDJ and a single coil for my Squire project.....? About the singlecoil.

Can anyone tell if the single coil is a Duncan? The guy I got them from was told it was. I see no markings on it. It reads 5.40.

I really just wanted the DD, but both for $40 ain't bad.

And yeah, see how short the DDJ's leads are? Ugh!

Eh, don't need more lead than that if it's in the bridge. No clue what the single is. It's alnico/fiber so it can only sound so bad. Nice DDJ.

Don't think the single is a Duncan - plastic bobbin, lack of cloth wire, 5k DCR, no bevel on polepieces, what looks like black insulation tape covering the bobbin.

This is what a true single type SD looks like - fibre bobbin that is matte and textured (with hole between poles 3 and 4), cloth wire, extended flange for wire terminals, cloth wire, bevel on poles, no insulation tape covering bobbin.

Good score for both nevertheless!
