My FAVORITE death metal band of all time---Death! Chuck Schuldiner is a major influence of mine. I still feel sad echoes as a result of his death due to the brain cancer...a major blow to the creative pool. Good to see that there are some bands keeping his spirit alive by doing a great job playing the music!
"Symbolic" was a killer album! Maybe my favorite... kind of torn between "Sound of Perseverence," "Individual Thought Patterns," and "Symbolic." Hogland definitely went nuts on "Symbolic!" DiGiorgio was killer on "Individual: though. And "Sound of Perseverence" was just incredible.

I want ot cover overactive imagination with a descent powerfull "clean" singing artist.It would be hard to find one to fill it.
And it is really great to know that many music loving people things of his talent ,and remember his creative art ,and nothing else!!!
He gave us alot ,and i wish him rest 6 feet under!
MAn i watched all the night Chuck shuldiner content!!Believe ,he is the only reason why i play solos!He show me with "overactive imagination" how to play a solo in a devestating song so melodicly and nice!!It is my absolute favorit solo EVER!!.

Definitely a musical genius who left a permanent mark in the technical death metal genre. I missed a chance to see Death at the Fox Theater in Boulder & regret missing it to this day. Still very glad I discovered Death before I graduated high school. I don't think my playing would be the same without that influence!!
