Great Customer Service Form Elixir Strings

I absolutely love their acoustic strings, and they are all that I use on my Taylor 314ce and my Yamaha fgx412ce 12 string. I personally think that they have the best sounding acoustic strings out there. They are perfect for the acoustic tone that I strive for.

Well, I was changing the strings on my Taylor today. when I was tuning up the high E string I kept on hearing, and feeling slippage. I kept tuning up when finally it got all sloppy sounding, and the string had broken/come apart at the ball end. Well, that sucked, but I had a different set of their 80/20 strings that I had just gotten in the mail, so I used the high E from it to finish re-stringing up my guitar.

I called up Elixir and told them what had happened. The gentleman on the phone immediately apologized to me for my inconvenience, asked me for my address, and told me he'd have a new set right out to me.

Now that, my friends, is customer service.

cool. i use their acoustic strings too. not cause i love them but cause i play the acoustic so infrequently it makes sense to use coated strings, and they do sound and feel pretty good.

i had a similar interaction with dr strings a few years back. they sent me a handful of sets when i emailed and complained of breakage with the pure blues sets i was using. gotta love when a company takes care of the people that buy their stuff. seems like thats the way it should be

I've had similar interactions with them a couple times. These days I use 10-46 Tite Fit on electrics, 11-52 Dragon Skins on acoustic, and 45-105 Extra Life on bass.

D'Adarrio did the same thing when I didn't get a G string in my pack of XL120's
Hooked me right up when I called.

My acidic oils in my hands takes the coating right off in a week or so...then I have white string dander all over the guitar case and my clothes.

That is great customer service!

I really like the tone of Acoustics with Elixirs; however, the coating doesn't last long at all for me so I use D'Addario Phosphorous-Bronze which last a long time.
