Great deal on a rock/pop strings package from Kirk Hunter:

Just wanted to share this with ya'll. I found this while surfing the KVR forums:

Kirk Hunter Studios is having a group buy for their "Pop/Rock Strings". It's a 10 GB sample library of violins, violas, cellos and double basses made for...well...pop/rock productions.

It's normally a $250 product, this group buy has the potential of reaching a 50% discount if 150 people sign up for it. At the time of writing, they've got 120, including myself, meaning a 40% discount. Sign ups end January 15th.

I know there's gotta be some people out there, like me, who really want to add some strings to their music but just can't afford the major libraries. They've got plenty of demos, and it works with the free Kontakt Player from native instruments.

Just an update:

This has officially been released. There's 130 people signed up, which means the current price is $149.

The cool thing about this is if 20 more people sign up before January 15th, and you buy it before that, Kirk refunds you the difference. Given the rate that people have been signing up for this, it seems like it's only a matter of time before it hits 150 people and the price gets dropped to $125.

I've already downloaded and paid...should be receiving my serial number soon.
