Re: Great Music>>>>>>>>>>!

Here's a few, you might not like them... it all depends on your taste.

Eric Johnson - Desert Rose (the album is Ah Via Musicom)
Guns N Roses - November Rain
Queen - I Want It All
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Joe Satriani - Always With Me, Always With You

I could go on.. maybe you could be a bit more specific as to what kind of rock you want, other than general rock.

Maybe you could tell us whether you want more instrumental music, or music with vocals.

Re: Great Music>>>>>>>>>>!

well..i wanna listen and i guess learn songs that i think would help me be more creative with leadwork so really songs that you guys think are quiet creative and just plain great...like what you've mentioned there...

cheers..

Re: Great Music>>>>>>>>>>!

Jeff Beck for sure. Try Declan. I also love tele blues... Roy Buchanan and Jerry Donahue come to mind.

Re: Great Music>>>>>>>>>>!

Well, if you want cool lead ideas listen to some more Eric Johnson. Just type his name in on KazaA or a similar program.

Also, just some other songs that have cool guitar parts are:

U2 - Sunday, Bloody Sunday
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb

Re: Great Music>>>>>>>>>>!

As far as blues/rock goes Michael Schenker and Joe Satriani come to mind. Both amazing guitarists, technically and melodically. Check out their stuff, it's really brilliant. For real blues blues theres SRV, and of course Jimi.

Michael Schenker - Be Aware of Scorpions (album) - All songs

Satriani - Surfing with the Alien (album)

Oh ya man I totally love desert rose man!!! Eric totally shreds his heart out on that one - and great lyrics + vocals too.
All the other stuff u mentioned rox too!

I will recommend Robben Ford, Scott Henderson - Tribal Tech, Carlos Santana, and EVERYTHING by Eric Johnson! (This is the music i'm crazy about at this stage)

As for Satch and Vai, they are blistering monsters of rock!

Yeh tha allman brothers, ive heard the first 15 seconds of a few of thier songs (because i D/Loaded some but they didnt have any integrity so they were basically 3 minute mp3s of silence) and even the guitars in that little bit of song was brilliant....

Re: Great Music>>>>>>>>>>!

I second or third or fourth or whatever its up to now the Eric Johnson recommendation - anything by him.
Also there is a band called DaDa - I highly recommend the album 'Puzzle' - great guitar work and sound.
Check out the live version of Queen's song 'Brighton Rock' of the album Killer Queen

Re: Great Music>>>>>>>>>>!

I'm a huge fan of Queen, as you may tell from my avatar so if you want to a good album, all around with good guitar as well as good song-writing and creativity:

A Night At The Opera - This is the one with Bohemian Rhapsody on it. It's also got a few other favourites of mine like Prophet's Song and '39.

Sheer Heart Attack (released right before A Night At The Opera, and has a bunch of great rock songs, as well as a few ballad-type songs. Also, the first track [I believe] is Brighton Rock, which is a great, guitar-driven track)

I know you may not like the genre, or the band but I think you should check out at least some of the SONGS I mentioned, if not the whole album. I love listening to those two albums, really creative stuff.

Re: Great Music>>>>>>>>>>!

Hey man of course i like queen, I love that genre too..unfortunatly i never really got around to getting any of their cd's (lack of money) but i've heard loads of their stuff and ,well who doesn't love 'em?

Thanks so much guys for this!!

Re: Great Music>>>>>>>>>>!

well theres the obvious eric johnson which is just great music.
you may want to also check out the band Bloodline, it's like blues but 10X better!!
the guitarist is insane in that band!

Re: Great Music>>>>>>>>>>!

Oh, also, I don't know if they're your style, but you should try listening to some Radiohead.
