Great soldering station at a good price....

i decided to upgrade my soldering setup since i've been building so many guitars and doing tons of pickup swaps. so i bought this variable wattage Weller WLC100 soldering station and i couldn't be happier.

i gave it a test run on the latest "Clone Guitar" and it worked great! didn't even struggle when soldering the ground the the trem claw which as some of you know can be a bit tricky without the right heat.

anyway here it is for those who need a good soldering station and don't want to go broke buying one...

That's the exact same one I have. I love it. The variable temp works great and is nice from going to soldering components on perfboard to soldering guitar electronics. It gets some good use.

i used those at the place i worked at, pretty nice, but the plastic gets rediculously hot and the tips go out faster than their other models.

I have that same station. It works great for me, no problem with hot plastic, still using the original tip after a year.

I ran into a super deal, found them for sale at an online shop for $39 and there was a factory rebate going on for $20. Ended up paying $19 for it!

I had that same station and took it to Afghanistan with me and the water there just killed it. I replaced with Weller WTCPT and that just died on me so I just purchased the Weller WES51 and I love it!
