Mojo's Minions
Ever hear of Pete Tolson? The Pretty Things were big in England thru the 1960's and in the 1970's made another push to catch on in America. I saw them back then in Detroit, after they released the 'Silk Torpedo' album. On that record, the solo at the end of the first song, "Dream/Joey" was done by Pete Tolson. Great tone, great style. Masterfully done. Live he used a Strat, not sure if he did in the studio too.
Tolson didn't get to show his skills often enough with the Pretty Things, who he was with for most of the 1970's. Anyone know of any other recordings of his fantastic guitar work, and what he's been up to since leaving the Pretty Things?
