Greeting from Iraq

I'm here in Iraq, gettin er done. (lol) I picked up a cheap fender squire bass set up through musicians friend. I didn't want to bring anything worth value, due to the dusty sand storms and living conditions. I am fairly safe, and just want all my friends to know. Thanks for all your support.......Steve

Ps Johnny thanks brother (STRATDELUXER97) I'll see you at the next guitar show

Re: Greeting from Iraq

God bless all of you guys/gals!!!!

Re: Greeting from Iraq

By all means stay safe and we're all proud of the job you guys and gals are doing over there!

Re: Greeting from Iraq

Steve, and all our service men and women are doing a tough if not impossible job. A few much deserved kind words is the LEAST we could do for these folks...
Even those who disagree with us being there can agree that our and any troops placed in harms way, and away from their friends, and families deserve much props.

Re: Greeting from Iraq

Good to hear from you. Hopefully, you'll be outta there soon and can come back to jamming and hanging with family/friends.

Are you able to play along with other soldiers over there? Acoustic jams?

I guess if you run out of ammo, you can always bap someone over the head with yer bass!!! LOL

I like that, though "bap" probably isn't the verb that would come to mind.

Anyway, It's great to hear that you're safe, Steve. I hope you're back as soon as is possible.

Re: Greeting from Iraq

Glad to hear you're doing fine. Take care, keep your head down. ;)

Play that bass.

Re: Greeting from Iraq

WOW thanks to all who replied, And I'm playing usually in the evening time. And when there is some down time. No one else has any musical equipment in my unit, so I'm a one man band lol. At the local shops they had a off brand equipment that they wanted 500-1000% mark up, crazy. I'll do my best to post as often as I can, Thanks again
