Ground wire from bridge

Hi! I have a little doubt, some time ago I bought an RG body with a hardtail bridge and an HH configuration. It has a ground wire coming from the bridge, but I´m changing the pickups to a humbucker on bridge and a p rails on the neck.
So I´m following an HSS diagram, but it doesn´t says if I have to ground the wire.
Do you suggest I ground it anyway or I simply don´t use it?

yes, if you are using passive pickups, you always need to ground the bridge.
