grounding help.

can someone tell me where the ground is on the bridge of a les paul, and how to get to it. I want to rewire my guitar.

Isn't there a black wire in there somewhere leading away from the bridge? There should be, or else you've found the source of the problem.

I am sure there is but I think I am going to install a new one, so I need to know where that wire goes.

Usually i think the wire goes from the back of the neck vol pot to the treble side stud insert of the tailpiece. (the bit that the threaded posts go in) The wire is sandwiched between the stud and the body.

yep and if thats broke off, work a neddle in there and solder a wire to the neddle ahead of time
