Grounding question

Hi guys,.. just finished installing my new pups, man they sound great,. i just have one question though,.. I'm just curious,.. what are symptoms of a badly grounded pickup?

Just like to know consequences etc,..

One of the most common symptoms is a buzzing/humming that goes away when you touch anything metal (like the bridge or a toggle switch) on your guitar.
