Re: grounding rings

Grounding ring? What do you mean? The washer that goes round the threads? The lock washer with the teeth?

Re: grounding rings

as i understand it, it's a ring you put around the pot that grounds it and you solder the grounding wire to the ring instead of the pot itself.

Re: grounding rings

Ohhhhh, ok. Well, go to a hardware store with the pot and get 2 uninsulated ring terminals. Run a wire (crimp and solder), at least 3-4 inches or so, between both ring terminals. Put one on the pot shaft and mount the pot on the pickguard or body, and then solder all your ground wires to the other ring terminal.

Re: grounding rings

JK Any decent electronics store (and some hardwares stores also) should have "ring connectors/terminals" available in a variety of sizes. I'm guessing that you will need an inside diamater of about 3/8" or 1/2". Be sure to measure the pot first.
