Grover Tuners: Fits Gibson Les Pauls, Right?

Re: Grover Tuners: Fits Gibson Les Pauls, Right?

Yes, either the Rotomatics(non locking) or the vintage keystones.

Cheers Primo.

If your LP has the nut on the front of the tuner, that holds the tuner on( like on a LP Standard ), then yes...they will fit. If your LP has the push on bushing on the front of the tuner, ( like on the LP Classic ), then no, they won't fit. You'll need to have the holes routed if your LP uses the push on bushing.

Re: Grover Tuners: Fits Gibson Les Pauls, Right?

I upgraded my son's LP special to Grover 18:1 chrome tuners. I had to purchase a 10mm wood drill bit to route the holes. I also recommend using a wood ream to bevel the edges of the original holes so you won't chip or crack the finish when drilling.

Once you ream out the holes, will the old tuners still fit (you know, for resale value)?

What year is your LP???? I have a 2003 standard with the standard Grover made Kluson tuners and they are ROCK SOLID. Some of the best tuners I've used. I don't don't notice a difference compared to my locking Schallers for consistency.

No~ but stew-mac has a tapered bushing that makes it possible to use vintage sized tuners w/ 10mm holes.
