Re: Guess what just followed me home from the music store?
...holy ****.
It's worth it just for the color.
Bravo.
I new you'd flip out at it
No, you definitely need a different guard. Until you get a different guard, you will never hear me say something nice about that awesome color.
What did you just say about the colour then?:laugh2:
Love the color. With the guard it'd match with some kinda '70s outfit and big cheesy old man sunglasses if you know what I mean but that's mostly because it matches that couch almost perfectly. Regardless that finish is super badddd. Hopefully there are still some floating around somewhere they haven't seen this thread.
Love that you noticed the couch LOL
Me likey.
I've never heard of the Cyclone before. Looks great, Luis.
And you probably never will. Fender had it for 10 years, they introduced it in 97 but one never saw any publicity for it. I just found it while looking at the website.
I have always liked them and have considered picking one up a few different times. You say it is infact 24.75 scale right???
Damn, the only few on Ebay are Red. I am keeping my eyes open though.
24.75 to the milimiter:laugh2: a full inch smaller than my APX and .75 bigger than a normal mustang.
Get anyone of those while you can if you dig it and just live with the color or spray it. Totally worth it IMHO.
Man i love that thing. If it ever plays like a 'stang ,it have to be a great player.
Nice score LSP!Enjoy it!And learn how to play!
I don't know how a stang plays but it's comfy as hell. The only problem so far is some fret buzz so I'll have to do something about it... just don't know what.
Believe me when I say:
H-S is the perfect pickup configuration!
You'll love this thing - does it have a coil tap for the bucker?
I'm starting to believe, great tones at the neck and the bridge can scream. No coil tap tough it might be a cool idea. If I ever replace the bucker I'll get to it.
it has the BEST pickup configuration possible!!!
the single is even slanted the right way
congrats man!!!!
I was afraid of the slant, it makes the bass part of the pup sit on where the 24th fret would be and the treble goes way down, I figured it would be very trebly. No such thing. Pretty warm and sweet, nothing like the bucker (I know the bucker is in the bridge, hence more trebly but it's a bucker... it should be warmer, it's not, just hotter... in relation to the neck, that is)
i swear it was you i told to just go and buy one in the 'cyclone's been discontinued!' thread?!
awesome vibe it's got going on.. split the humbucker and you're on your way back to mustang territory!
tom
Maybe, that's why I went for it. No regrets.
Considering the spliting but if I ever replace the bucker it's a definative thing to do.
There is a design flaw however. The vibrato arm can't be put away in the back of the bridge when you don't use it cause the cable gets in the way. I doub't even a L connector will work but since I don't really like the vibrato... considering adding a full set of springs, make it fight me some more.
Thanks for the kind comments folks, I really appreciated them.
