Guess who bought an Ibanez JS1000BP?

I did! I bought it 2 days ago, over at a store in Manchester, NH. I got it for $1,099.99, which isn't bad at all. It's absolutely beautiful! Black pearl with black hardware, nothing but hotness. The Dimarzio PAF Pro in the neck and FRED in the bridge are amazing for all genres oif music. The coil tap really makes this guitar a force to be reconed with. I can go from searing distortion lead tones to single coil SRV tones, this guitar rocks! The best part is, is that I can really demonstrate my skills on this guitar, on my Dean's I couldn't, they're just not built well enough. It's much easier to sustain your picking at high tempo's too! This guitar is just amazing! From setting it onto my Single Rectifier with delay and chorus model, to my Fender Twin Amp on my Roland, I'm never disapointed! If you're torn and are a player, like me, who literally plays everything, you should definitely look at this guitar! It can do shred, jazz, rock, blues, anything. The coil taps sound as clear and defined as any strat, hands down.

I bought one to a year ago. I really liked the way it played but I just could not get used to the light-paper weight feel of it. Congratulations on your guitar and enjoy. With that neck fingers can fly. :smoker:

Just listen to anything on Joe Satriani's The Extremist that has loud, screamin' geetar. The title track, for instance. That record is mostly JS1000 and loud marshalls. Andi think it's got some of his most "benchmark" tones. Flying in a Blue Dream was pretty much all JS1000 too but processed a little more and put thru a Soldano or a loud marshall. Crystal Planet has some sweet lower-gain tones on it that really sing, too.

Nice axe, man! Personally I'd like one of those in BP or white. one day, man.

FUN FACT: The JS1000's neck is a compund radius of 9-10 as you go up the neck and the back shape is an exact copy of Joe's '58 Strat! :smoker:
