ok! i just decided (after about half a year off pissing about in open e) to use a different open tuning, i did! then i used another....then i got so carryed away (a little to high to play properly) that i forgot about fretting and just used the tuning heads while fingerpicking. my god did it sound wierd!
i ended up recording the piece i wrote (which involved using some theory on pitch axis shifting) and playing it to my guitaring friend and superior tom.
he said it sounded very much like this guy he had heard, who was quite famous and played songs with just the tuning heads.
BUT WHAT WAS HE CALLED!!???
if anyone knows of a song where anyone (dont care who!) plays with the tuning heads id be soooo happy, as id like to hear what decent people can do with this wierd tecknique....
also has anyone els done this?
