Guinness Telecaster

The Dali

MeltedClockologist
I was re-building my Telecaster over the last few weeks and finally got it put back together. As I was putting it together I noticed that the pickguard I had was not cut properly for the neck pickup. It was jagged - like the person who had it before me (it was second-hand) had tried to route it a little larger to accomodate a strat-sized single coil. I picked up a replacement pickguard, but then started getting ideas for the original. As you can see, I covered the original with Guinness labels and used a pour acrylic over the top to seal them in. It looks like glass... after a little sanding and trimming I got it to fit nice and tight. I love it!

Re: Guinness Telecaster

Chris =- agreed!

Robbie, it sounds really nice, but I need to set her up. She frets out a bit so the 'ol truss rod needs some work. The neck is very nice... a little skinny, but I was impressed by it.

Re: Guinness Telecaster

Thansk everyone! The parchment guard I had on it looked fine, but the guitar just kinda looked like every other Tele out there... I wanted to set it off a little. I'm not a huge Tele guy, so adding a little Guinness to the mixture helps me bond with her a bit...

Re: Guinness Telecaster
