Guitar buzzing like crazy.. HELP!!

Hey guys, I'm restoring my Flying V, and it is buzzing like crazy!

It has a stock pickup in the neck, and a Gibson SG pickup in the bridge. I wired everything according to these schematics: http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=2h_2v_1t_3w

When I plug it in, and have the volumes turned up, it buzzes. (When the guitar isn't playing, can't hear it when I'm playing. Also, when I turn up the tone, it sounds like a transformer is going to fry

I don't think it's my amp, because I tried a B.C. Rich, and it doesn't buzz.

So, I'm concluding it's my guitar, but I have no idea where to start.

Possibly the bridge grounding wire has pulled out?

Thats what I thought at first, and I checked that, and its in there

Got to be a ground problem somewhere, it seems.

Is said bridge ground wire also soldered to a pot casing? Or maybe to some copper/foil shielding tape on the pickguard? Is the tape connected to the pot/system ground somehow?

The bridge ground is soldered to the tone, that's what the diagram said.

No pickguard either. And the back panel is gone, but I use foil to cover it.

For the wires inside, I didn't use shielded cables, does that matter? I wrapped them in tin foil (shiney side down), and wrapped that in tape. But I didn't notice a diff. from not tin foiling it.

Looked at the B.C Rich, and wired it the way the BC is. Also, the input jack was faulty.

Works now

It wasnt wired in reverse was it? :34: Anyway, glad that it works for ya!

THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING! With as many guitars as i wire... it happens to me all the time lol
