I went to Guitar Center today in Grand Rapids, MI. I was checking out all the hundreds of pawed guitars and looking to play a MIM Robert Cray Strat, which they never ever had one in the store. Bummer.

I played some MIM Strats,Teles and some USA ones too. Man have the MIM's slipped in quality through the years! I have a MIM 50th anniversary Tex-Mex Strat that plays and sounds better than Fender's American Made Standard.

The one guitar I was impressed with was the Epiphone Viola Bass. Made in Korea, the axe was gorgeous! NO "F" holes and nice flamed maple top and back. I think the price was $399.00. I thought it was a great deal for some bassist.

And $2,000.00 for a tube Marshall head!!! That was the discounted price!
I will sell my whole Music Man rig for that price!

Re: Guitar Center

which marshall? i wouldn't

I cannot remember the model number, but it was an all tube 100 watter.

To me Marshalls are way over priced and the amp shells and corners are junk.

If they could get by with a plastic chassis, I think Marshall would go for it. :disappoin
