This is a pretty amusing story, and I'm really happy for the guy. I have to say, it made me think about my first real electric guitar, which I think was a Peavey Patriot. I gave it to a college roommate, who I lost touch with. Maybe he still has it, who knows... I'd love to get the old girl back again though. It was actually a pretty good guitar, all things considered.

I'm always happy to see folks get "the one that got away" back. The one listed in my signature line is the one that got away for me. It wasn't my first guitar, but it was my first Les Paul, and I really bonded with that guitar.

I'm torn. Any quitter who takes his guitar to the dump....a gift from his parents, doesn't deserve to get it back. He seems like a dweeb, reading his story.

This is OT, but I sold my Star Wars collection to a collector for a premium the week before that AWFUL movie with Jar Jar came out in theaters!

Now back on topic, I've gotten rid of stuff I wish I had kept. We all have, I'm sure.
Nice to hear this particular owner got redemption. I like it.

Some days ago I was just thinking to the Hamer I gave to the shop to partially fund my first strat.. I wish I could know where it is now.. I was so young and so naive.. Sigh..
