I've got a couple of guitars I'd like to clean up, polish out some swirls and a few scratches and get them looking good. (Poly finished Fenders and Warmoth in my case)
I remembered all the Meguiars products I used to use to get my sports car looking sweet and wondered if I could use them in guitar finishes.
After a little searching, it turns out Meguiars used to supply the Fender cleaning and polishing kits! Not only that, but according to Meguiars they were just rebranded bodyshop products...

So, long story longer, if you happen to have any of the above listed products (all are silicone free, aka bodyshop safe) that you use on your car, they may make good products to use on your guitar as well.
Fender:
Meguiars:
I've still got a ton of Dunlop 65, but that is just wax and cleaner, no real abrasives to work on scratches or swirls. I may give some M09 a go...

We used to make the Fender Guitar maintenance kits and, while rebranded, it essentially consisted of M09 Swirl Remover 2.0, M07 Show Car Glaze and M34 Final Inspection. This has been a long standing process for maintaining nitrocellulose lacquer finishes because it works so well.
