Maybe #1. I would need to see them in someones hands to get an idea of how they really look. Very sleek looking guitars , those Hardtails. Anyhow is that style gonna become the "new" PRS? I mean is it gonna start showing up in a lot of rockers arsenals? It wouldn't be a bad thing to happen!!!

Neither of them....I actually find the flame bursty or whatever pattern it is called quite ugly....I am sure they are made of fine exotic woods..But they are not for me....Give me a plain 'ol black Strat or black Les Paul over them anyday.......

Hee Hee.....haven't had a chance to check on this thread much from last night until today. I'm probably a little obsesive about my love for the Hardtails, but they just play and sound so damn good. I love the look of PRS guitars also....someday I'll own one. I just keep searching for the one Hardtail that will make me want to sell the one I have...the ultimate Hardtail. Mine does not have the top that those do....but I love it so much. A quilt is the top I really want.
These 2 are probably the nicest tops I've seen. At first I thought I liked #1, but it may be just a tad to light and consistent in color. Something about the burst on #2 really makes me gaa gaa. I generally don't like tobacco or brown burst...but I could live with that one. Think I'll send a message to Dean to see what one of those babies would set me back....just for fun.
