Guitar Project-itis again

Recent threads about Telecaster Thinlines, TV Jones pickups in Semi-Hollow guitars and discovering an Antoria Tele Custom on eBay all set me thinking. If I want a guitar like those, why not use up all of the unfinished guitar project crud lying about the apartment? All that it needs is some effort on my part.

So...

1) Pre-owned Warmoth flame maple over swamp ash semi-solid body, bad varnish job, mangled neck PU cavity. (Somebody's abandoned project.)
2) Pre-owned Warmoth birdseye maple neck, rosewood compound radius fingerboard. (Somebody else's abandoned project.)
3) Fender USA torty pickguard. (One of MY abandoned projects!)
4) Anonymous HB-style T bridge
5) SD P-90
6) Third control pot hole in the Andy Summers position came with the guitar.

Beginning to smell like G&L ASAT meets Fender Jim Adkins Tele. Any opinions?

Ya know, I just spent a large portion of the day planning a wee Tele project of my own. If I was closer to being able to bring it to completion I would throw down the gauntlet to you, sir! :sword:

Yours sounds like a cool plan, though. TV Jones in the bridge? What are you thinking for the extra control space?

Throw that gaunlet anyhow. My fingers are still frozen from the icy weather.

Actually, seeing as Allan Holdsworth's guitars are semi-hollow and I just happen to have an SD Holdsworth HB in the parts drawer ... :scratchch The other idea would have been either a dogear P90 or a P-Rails.

Dang. Every time that I think about TV Jones pickups, I remember their Brian Setzer promotional video and that killer sound he gets.

In view of recent SD product announcements, there can only be one choice for the third pot - the Blackouts Module volume control. :headbang:
