Any recommendations? I have gone through 2 now! I need a good one! That is tough as anything... I am currently using a hardcase and not
To big of a fan. I sit it up right on my footplate on my wheelchair and the bottom of the bag keeps getting torn then a whole forms and the guitar slide right through, that hasn't happened yet but it will. The strap button sticks out on both of mine already so if you have any recommendations throw them at me :)

Re: Guitar Soft Case

Godin makes a really high quality soft case. It's got useful pockets, and almost as much padding as a hard case. If your guitar fits, they're definitely worth checking out. I see them pop up used on craigslist for pretty cheap from time to time:

Re: Guitar Soft Case

Gator and SKB make some high quality gig bags that aren't flimsy like cheap thin gig bags.

Mono Vertigo.
I just bought 2 after seeing a friend's.
Fantastic case.

The Reunion Blues is great too but very bulky.
I have 2 of their leather gig bags, one of which is now 20 yrs old.
Best investment I ever made for my Strat.

Re: Guitar Soft Case

Ok good suggestions I like the look of them :) but can you assure me I won't get a hole on the bottom of from
It scratching up on my footplate. And it can't cost me a small fortune XP I will thin them out tonight when I get home :)

Re: Guitar Soft Case

Is there a way you can modify the footplate of your chair so that it's less scratchy / less likely to rip bags? Like maybe putting some felt over the part you rest the guitar or something? Might be your cheapest option. Or you could sew some strips of heavy canvas/burlap to the bottom of any cheap bag if that's the one area you're finding is causing you problems.

Hmm... That's a good idea... Never thought of that. I'll go and ask my chair makers

Re: Guitar Soft Case

The vertigo has a rubber ' boot '. Its part of the design.
That should be a plus for you.

Re: Guitar Soft Case

There are hybrid cases that are somewhere in between a gig bag & a hard case. This might be more to your liking. Road Runner makes them as does Gator. (Those are the only case mfgrs I know.) But they are lighter than the hard shell case and heavier/sturdier than the gig bags. Only you will know if they will solve your problem.

Good Luck
