Guitar stands

What's your favorite stands, even by brand.

I need three stands.
I hate the "foam" ones that get get compressed and leave your guitar sitting on the metal frame. I like the surgical tubing ones.

Has anyone tried those A frame or any other small stands? Ever have a mishap because of that design.

Re: Guitar stands

I've got Stagelines, it's a good stand, folds up neat, very stable, looks good. They have the heavy surgical tubing. Never had as much as a close call with 'em.

Thanks.

Forgive my ignorance, but is stageline(s) a brand or style? And where do I look to get/order one?

Re: Guitar stands

I use the Ultimate stands (around $40) that hold the guitar by the neck just below the headstock ... keeps the neck nice and straight.

That's the kind I use and I love em. I have like 7 of them....lol. Sykes, I believe those are the brand. I don't know where you can get them. I bought all of mine at Mars Music way before they went belly up.

Fender Stand

I bought a couple of these to lug to jams and really like the way they perform - and no marks on the headstock. I have the electric version, but couldn't find a link to it.

I used to think they damaged your instruments, but man they look appealing with how they save up space.

Re: Guitar stands

i use one of these

no picture. but it stands your guitar up sideways and leans it back. i have one for 3 guitars, i love it. it's rubberfoam padded, but it's lasted me about a year n a half so far and it stil hasn't worn out. if it does wear out you can always put more padding on it. i've seen several guitarist use them at local concerts.

Re: Guitar stands

I bought mine a little local music store. I just did a google search, they can be bought for $18, which is about what I paid I think. I have the kind with the folding necks. It's a high quality stand for not a lot of money. They come in several colors too, mine are black.

Re: Guitar stands

i use one of those little ultimate 'genesis' stands for a single guitar .. and i have the 3 unit rockstand number for multiple axes .. happy with them both
