Guitar Tech Extraordinaire

Obviously, our conception of who is great and who is not is very subjective.

For the second time I've taken a troublesome guitar to a local shop, and for the second time I was blown away by my guitar when I got it back.

The first was a Telecaster. In my experience they are a challenge to intonate even with compensated saddles. I am talking about a 3 barrel saddle bridge. The nut was cut poorly from the factory and it just needed a quality set up. That's exactly what I got.

A few days ago I took my Breedlove acoustic in for a set up. The action was too high for me and the intonation was off. He dialed in the nut, made a new bone bridge and lowered the action and now it plays like a dream and even sounds better tonally.

I have heard other players in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex mention other luthiers/tech, and by all means, stick with a guy (or gal) you trust.

But if you need work done on a guitar ... broken headstock, delaminated body or anything, or if you are dissatisfied with the work you've had done before please shoot me a PM. I am not affiliated with his shop in any way and I'm not here to advertise for him, but if you want somebody good, I'll steer you right.
