Guitar tone question

Re: Guitar tone question

I'd say keep it simple and just go with a pickup that is big in lower-mids, rolled-off on the highs, and a bit spongy in the lows.
IMO stay away from pickups that are built for extreme clarity and tightness, like many of the newer lower-dcr ceramic modern-metal/djent pickups.

Re: Guitar tone question

Here's the real deal. If you want great tone, your guitar must have Gibson inlaid on the headstock in pearl. It also must have body binding, neck binding and a pickguard. Everyone knows that real tone is in the binding and pickguard. :cool2::naughty:
